Terms of Service

The service

AfterYou is a daily blind-reveal question game for couples. Each partner uses their own account, answers privately, and reveals together after both partners submit and the room has trial or subscription access.

Accounts and couple rooms

• Each partner must use their own verified account. Do not share one login between both partners.

• Invite links are intended for the invited partner only. Do not post private invite links publicly.

• You are responsible for the activity that happens through your account.

• You can leave a couple room from settings. Leaving a room may affect access to shared room history.

Subscriptions and trials

• AfterYou does not offer a permanent free tier.

• Subscriptions start with a 3-day card-upfront trial unless a different offer is shown at checkout.

• No charge is due at the start of the trial. The selected plan bills after the trial unless canceled before the trial ends.

• Weekly, monthly, and yearly prices are shown before checkout. Stripe handles payment collection, subscription billing, and payment-method storage.

• One billing-owner subscription unlocks the couple room for both partners.

• Weekly recaps are paid-only and unlock after the subscription becomes paid, not during the trial.

Cancellations and refunds

• You can manage or cancel billing through the Stripe Customer Portal from the app.

• Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.

• If you cancel after a charge, access may continue until the end of the paid billing period unless Stripe or applicable law requires otherwise.

• Refund requests can be sent to founders@afteryou.love and are reviewed case by case.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload or submit illegal, abusive, hateful, harassing, exploitative, or non-consensual content.

• Do not upload explicit sexual images or content involving minors.

• Do not use AfterYou to threaten, stalk, surveil, coerce, shame, or manipulate another person.

• Do not attempt to bypass authentication, row-level security, billing checks, invite tokens, or private storage controls.

• Do not scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the service.

User content

You keep ownership of your answers, photos, and other content. You give AfterYou permission to store, process, display, and generate product features from that content as needed to operate the service for you and your couple room.

AI outputs

• AI reflections, follow-up questions, photo comments, and weekly recaps may be imperfect, incomplete, or wrong.

• AI outputs are not professional advice and should not be treated as instructions for major relationship, health, financial, legal, or safety decisions.

• If AI output feels wrong, ignore it. The product is meant to spark conversation, not decide what is true about your relationship.

Safety

AfterYou is not a crisis service. If you believe someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline. We may restrict or remove access if we believe the service is being used for unsafe or abusive behavior.

Availability and changes

We may change, pause, limit, or discontinue parts of AfterYou as the product evolves. We try to keep the app reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or permanent availability of every feature.
