Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account information, including name, email address, login method, verification state, and optional password settings.

• Couple room information, including room code, partner invite status, room membership, active question packs, streaks, and room settings.

• Daily answer content, follow-up responses, photo prompt uploads, weekly recap inputs, and generated reveal or recap outputs.

• Billing records needed to unlock the product, including Stripe customer IDs, subscription status, trial dates, plan IDs, and billing-owner metadata.

• Product email and notification records, including invite emails, reminder eligibility, delivery status, and notification preferences.

• Basic product analytics, logs, and aggregate counters used to operate, debug, secure, and improve AfterYou.

How the blind reveal works

Answers and photos are designed to stay private until both partners have submitted and the room has trial or subscription access. We store reveal state on the server, not in local browser storage, so losing a browser session does not become the source of truth.

Photos and uploads

• Photo prompt images are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket.

• The app uses signed URLs or member-approved access paths to display private photos to room members.

• Users can delete their own uploaded photos from privacy controls.

• Launch photo prompts are intended to be playful, intimate, funny, and tasteful. Explicit sexual photo prompts are not part of launch content.

AI features

• AfterYou uses Gemini to generate reveal reflections, follow-up questions, photo comments, and weekly recap JSON.

• AI outputs are for conversation and entertainment only. They are not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, medical advice, legal advice, or crisis support.

• We do not ask Gemini to generate arbitrary raw HTML for weekly recaps. The app renders structured content through predefined components.

• We do not train our own models on your answers or photos.

Who can see your information

• Verified members of your couple room can see room content after the relevant reveal conditions are met.

• Service providers such as Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Vercel, and Google process limited data needed to run authentication, hosting, email, billing, storage, and AI features.

• We do not sell your answers, photos, or couple data.

• We may review logs or records when needed to debug, secure, support, or comply with legal obligations.

Your controls

• You can delete your own answers and photos from settings.

• You can leave a couple room from settings.

• You can manage notification preferences from settings.

• You can manage or cancel billing through the Stripe Customer Portal.

• You can request help with privacy questions at founders@afteryou.love.

Security and retention

We use Supabase Auth, database row-level security, private storage, server-side billing updates, and production environment secrets to protect access. We keep account, room, billing, and product records while needed to provide the service, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and operate the product.

Children

AfterYou is not intended for children. Do not use AfterYou if you are not old enough to enter into a subscription agreement in your location.

Changes

We may update this policy as AfterYou evolves. If changes materially affect how your private content is handled, we will use reasonable notice such as in-app copy or email.
